At Moriac PS we use School Wide Positive Behaviour (SWPB) as an evidenced-based framework for preventing and responding to behaviours in school. This is a whole school approach to creating an environment which encourages effective learning through the development of a positive learning environment.

  • We teach our students how to behave appropriately and uphold the school Core Values in a positive and supported way.

  • We recognise that learning socially acceptable behaviours is a process which everybody moves through at a different pace.

  • Interventions and support have a common goal of maximising inclusion and building student capacity.

  • Our matrix titled ‘The Moriac Way’ is explicitly taught throughout the year but in detail during the first two weeks of the school year within our Learning To Learn program.
