We would like to formally invite students, teachers and their families to experience the fun of trail running in your backyard at Anglesea, on Sunday September 22.

The Trail Running Series –KIDS RUN!

·         What: 2.5km trail run for kids aged up to 10 years*

·         When: Sunday September 22, 11:30am.

·         Where:  Anglesea Lions Park, Anglesea VIC

·         Cost: $7 entry includes finisher ribbon, race plate and fruit at the finish

Please note, this is NOT a race; it is purely participation based to get the kids involved in this inspiring event. The Trail Running Series is in its’ 8th year, and offers magnificent trail running events getting people outdoors and off the bitumen.

*Race day also includes the main races for mums, dads and teachers! Short course (8.7km), Medium course (15.4km) and Long course (23.2km). Further event information:

Community Post: BatForce (Barwon Adolescent Task Force) Info Session

BatForce (Barwon Adolescent Task Force) are running a free information session on technology use for families.


Topics covered in the session include:

·         Healthy online relationships

·         Gaming

·         Social media

·         Gambling

·         Role modelling

·         Creating rules  and more.


The session runs for 90 minutes and is held on Tuesday 18 June at 6:30 – 8:00pm at Kurrambee Myaring Community Centre Torquay North.

Community Post: Reconciliation in the Park

We are writing regarding the upcoming event - Reconciliation in the Park, which is Geelong's primary 'Reconciliation Week' event, celebrating Aboriginal history, culture and stories.

Reconciliation in the Park 2019: Sunday 2 June 10am – 3pm

Come along and join us for this FREE event – Everyone Welcome!

In support of the 2019 Reconciliation Week theme: ‘Grounded in Truth – Walk Together with Courage’, local Aboriginal community members will provide song, dance, workshops, children’s activities, Victorian Treaty discussions and indigenous food plants.

Community Post - Moriac Community Network

Hi all

Here is this month's MCN minutes - very productive meeting with Community Development from SCS and a workshop for planning our short and long term goals.


Next month's meeting we will have Lachlan McLean from SCS with a brief overview of new energy program and discuss opportunities to engage with the Moriac community on the topic of energy efficiency and renewables.
