eSmart Day

This week is National eSmart Week - A week dedicated to building an eSmart Australia.

National eSmart Week is a week where we as a school come together to encourage everyone to be smart, safe and responsible when using digital technology. It creates awareness, solutions and ideas for community education on issues of cyber safety, bullying and wellbeing online, and offline.

Today our students completed various eSmart themed activities. Please enjoy the following video, which was put together by our SLC students. There may be some Academy Awards given out after some of these performances :)

eSmart Information - YouTube content

Dear Parents,

Some entertaining ESMART Youtube videos can be found by simply typing Hectors World into Youtube and the Cybersaftey video will come up.

The Hector’s World™ videos are designed  younger children and feature high quality 2-D animation with fun and engaging characters. Children can observe the characters as they learn how to stay safe online. The experiences of Hector and his friends offer children practical guidance on managing risks and reinforce the importance of responsible online behaviour. Hector’s World™ has come to Australia with the permission of our friends at Netsafe.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. As always it’s best to stay with your children while they are on electronics and digital technologies.
