Students in Years 3-6 were extremely fortunate to hear from Ellen Moon this morning. Ellen works at Deakin University and is an Environmental Engineer / Lecturer.
She shared information about a recent trip of hers to Antartica, where she was able to explore the continent as part of an 80-women strong study trip.
We were all really engaged in the presentation, particularly the many references to STEM she made, and the jobs and experiences that interest in those fields of study can lead to.
Again, thanks to her ‘desk buddy’ Andrea for helping organise. We certainly got a lot out of it.
